Practical stock recovery education, risk planning, technical analysis, market intelligence, and trading discipline in one structured learning system.

🔊 Volume Analysis

Learn how volume confirms recovery strength, exposes fake bounces, and helps avoid weak averaging decisions.

1) Why Volume Matters

Price shows direction, but volume shows participation.
A stock moving up with weak volume may fail quickly. A recovery move with strong volume shows buyers are actively supporting the move.
  • Strong volume during green candles = buyer interest.
  • ! Rising price with weak volume = possible fake bounce.
  • Volume confirms VWAP reclaim and breakout strength.
  • ! Heavy red volume may signal continued selling pressure.

2) Volume Types for Recovery Traders

Accumulation Volume
Buyer Support

Price stabilizes or rises while volume increases. This may suggest buyers are building positions.

Distribution Volume
Seller Pressure

Price drops with heavy volume. This may show institutions or large traders are exiting.

Dry Volume
Wait Zone

Low volume often means no strong conviction. Recovery entries are weaker without participation.

3) Relative Volume Logic

RVOL Level Meaning Recovery Use
Below 1.0 Lower than normal activity Weak confirmation
1.0 – 1.5 Normal to slightly active Acceptable but not strong
1.5 – 3.0 Strong participation Good confirmation zone
3.0+ Very high attention Powerful but volatile
Smart rule: A recovery trade with RVOL above 1.5 is usually more meaningful than a bounce with weak volume.

4) Fake Bounce Warning

  • ! Price moves up, but volume keeps decreasing.
  • ! Green candles are small and weak after large red candles.
  • ! Price cannot reclaim VWAP despite bouncing.
  • ! Spread is wide and liquidity is poor.
  • Wait for stronger volume confirmation before averaging.

5) Volume Confirmation Checklist

  • 1 Is today’s volume higher than normal?
  • 2 Are green candles showing stronger volume than red candles?
  • 3 Did volume increase during VWAP reclaim?
  • 4 Is the move supported by real liquidity?
  • 5 If volume is weak, do not force the recovery trade.
