📒 Golden Rule Guide
A practical recovery-trading guide focused on confirmation, VWAP, volume, risk control, and fast decision-making.
1) The Golden Rule
- ✓ Price is reclaiming VWAP or holding a key support level.
- ✓ Volume is increasing on green candles.
- ✓ The spread is tight and liquidity is strong.
- ! You already know your stop-loss before buying more.
2) The 4 Must-Pass Filters
Liquidity means you can enter and exit without getting trapped. A good recovery trade should have tight spread, enough volume, and active buyers/sellers.
- ✓ Tight bid/ask spread.
- ✓ Strong relative volume.
- ! Avoid dead stocks with low volume.
VWAP is a useful intraday reference point. If price is below VWAP and keeps failing, averaging down can become dangerous. A better setup appears when price reclaims VWAP and holds.
- ✓ Price moves above VWAP.
- ✓ VWAP becomes support after reclaim.
- ! Avoid buying below VWAP without confirmation.
Volume shows whether buyers are actually participating. A bounce without volume may fail quickly.
- ✓ Green candles show stronger volume than red candles.
- ✓ Breakout or reclaim happens with increased volume.
- ! Avoid weak bounces with fading volume.
The stop-loss must be decided before adding more shares. If there is no clear invalidation level, the trade is not ready.
- ✓ Stop below VWAP, support, or candle low.
- ✓ Position size matches your risk amount.
- ! Never average down without a maximum loss limit.
3) Safer Recovery Setups
- IN Price reclaims VWAP and closes above it.
- ADD Add only after confirmation candle.
- SL Stop below VWAP or last swing low.
- TP Take partial profit quickly and reduce risk.
- 1 Stock breaks a key resistance level.
- 2 Pulls back and holds that level as support.
- 3 Buyer volume returns on bounce.
- X Exit if it loses the retest level.
4) Quick Recovery Checklist
- 1 Is the company still fundamentally acceptable?
- 2 Is the price showing recovery strength instead of free fall?
- 3 Is volume supporting the move?
- 4 Is your stop-loss clearly defined?
- 5 Does the new average create a realistic exit opportunity?
- 6 Are you adding because of logic, not emotion?
